Environmental Engineering Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Manage PSM/RMP programs, ensuring process safety information is accurate and hazard analyses are conducted regularly
• Oversee factory-wide environmental activities, including compliance with Air Emissions, Hazardous Waste, and Storm Water permits
• Lead engineering drafting efforts using AutoCAD and maintain up-to-date factory drawings via VAULT software
• Coordinate with contractors for PSM and Mechanical Integrity audits
• Manage Management of Change (MOC) processes and pre-startup safety reviews for ammonia systems
• Conduct incident investigations for ammonia-related near misses and track corrective actions
• Facilitate emergency planning and response drills in coordination with local emergency response teams
• Support engineering initiatives through project management and contractor oversight

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a Safety discipline
• 5+ years of experience in ammonia PSM and utilities compliance
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.119, EPA RMP, and IIAR standards
• Proven ability to design and maintain durable management systems

Preferred Qualifications

• RETA or IIAR certifications
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation
• Extensive experience in environmental compliance
