About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the site Environmental Manager in monitoring activities to ensure compliance with ADM, federal, state, and local regulations.
- Assist with the management of the site’s Environmental Management System (EMS), including policy development, incident investigations, and risk reduction.
- Prepare required environmental reports and maintain all necessary documentation and records for the facility.
- Lead or participate in internal and external environmental audits and agency visits.
- Assist with employee and contractor training related to environmental programs.
- Monitor changes to environmental laws and regulatory guidelines to ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree in Engineering, Environmental Management, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
- 2+ years of progressive experience, preferably in a process industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations regarding air, water, and waste, including permitting.
- Experience supporting environmental compliance programs with an emphasis on industrial boilers or water/wastewater operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
- Ability to work in various conditions, including outdoors, hot/cold weather, and climbing stairs or ladders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS).
- Experience with Universal and Hazardous Waste Management.
- Experience with Wastewater Treatment Sludge Management.
- Experience working with environmental database software.
