Environmental Driver Specialist

Responsibilities

• Classify, segregate, and inventory waste containers for shipment
• Load and secure materials or unload trucks at customer sites or company locations
• Label, package, and transport waste according to local, State, Federal, FMCSA, and DOT guidelines
• Complete required paperwork including route sheets, manifests, and BOLs
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Follow routing software and maintain compliance with DOT hours of service
• Provide high-level customer service and communicate issues to management
• Perform warehouse tasks including receipt, shipment, and distribution of waste materials
• Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, hand trucks, or pallet jacks
• Adhere to all safety and security policies including PPE requirements

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Minimum age of 21 years
• Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and valid TWIC card
• Ability to pass DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Proficiency in English (verbal and written)

Preferred Qualifications

• HAZMAT and/or Tanker endorsement
• 1+ years of route driving experience
• 1+ years of waste industry experience
• Experience with Vac Trucks, straight trucks, or combo vehicles
• Experience with roll-off bins/boxes
