About the role
Responsibilities
- Package, transport, and properly dispose of waste materials according to federal, state, and local regulations
- Load and secure materials or unload trucks at various customer sites or company locations
- Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate records in accordance with customer policies
- Perform documented pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Plan routes and schedules based on customer needs and routing software
- Provide high-level customer service and communicate issues to managers or dispatchers
- Follow all DOT guidelines and safety protocols while driving
Requirements
- At least 21 years of age
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement
- Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English
- Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
- Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check
- Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid TWIC Card
- At least 1 year of route driving experience
- Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations
