Environmental Driver Specialist

Responsibilities

• Package, transport, and properly dispose of waste materials according to federal, state, and local regulations
• Load and secure materials or unload trucks at various customer sites or company locations
• Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate records in accordance with customer policies
• Perform documented pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Plan routes and schedules based on customer needs and routing software
• Provide high-level customer service and communicate issues to managers or dispatchers
• Follow all DOT guidelines and safety protocols while driving

Requirements

• At least 21 years of age
• High School diploma or GED
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement
• Ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to 75 lbs
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid TWIC Card
• At least 1 year of route driving experience
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations
