Environmental Driver Specialist CDLB

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer locations on assigned routes to pack, transport, and properly dispose of waste materials.
• Classify, segregate, and inventory waste containers in storage for shipment.
• Load and secure materials or unload trucks at various customer sites or company locations.
• Label, package, and transport waste safely in accordance with local, State, Federal, FMCSA, and DOT guidelines.
• Complete required paperwork including route sheets, manifests, and Bills of Lading (BOLs).
• Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and prepare trucks with necessary supplies.
• Operate powered equipment such as forklifts and hand trucks to move or store items.
• Provide high-level customer service and communicate any issues to management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years of age.
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (MEC) and valid TWIC card.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds unassisted on occasion.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing in and out of commercial trucks and working in various weather conditions.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and/or DEA background check.
• High school diploma or GED.

Preferred Qualifications

• HAZMAT and/or Tanker endorsements (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
• 1+ years of route driving experience.
• 1+ years of experience in the waste industry.
• Experience operating straight trucks, combo vehicles, or roll-off bins/boxes.
