Environmental Driver Specialist CDL B

Responsibilities

• Characterize, segregate, package, and document retail hazardous and pharmaceutical waste
• Travel between customer retail facilities within an assigned territory
• Prepare appropriate documentation to meet State, EPA, DOT, and DEA regulations
• Process lab packs and prepare manifests and LDRs for hazardous waste shipment
• Manage route schedules to ensure compliance with 10-day transfer schedules
• Provide training and support to customers regarding regulatory compliance
• Maintain and manage travel expenses and schedules

Requirements

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• At least 21 years of age
• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods
• Proficiency in English (reading and writing)
• Basic knowledge of Windows-based software (Word, Excel)
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and DEA background check
• Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid TWIC Card
• Hazmat endorsement
• At least 1 year of route driving experience
• Knowledge of hazardous materials and OSHA regulations
