Environmental Coordinator (Regulatory Specialist)

Responsibilities

• Perform complete assessments of structures, facilities, and project activities to identify regulatory requirements in environmental, mining, urban, and safety sectors
• Map and obtain environmental licenses (LP, LI, LO), water rights, vegetation suppression authorizations, and CTF/APP registrations
• Analyze federal, state, and municipal legislation to anticipate regulatory impacts and propose action plans
• Develop regulatory planning schedules including deadlines, costs, and responsibilities
• Coordinate meetings with regulatory stakeholders, public hearings, and documentation submissions
• Monitor normative updates and prepare compliance reports to identify risks and optimization opportunities
• Support multidisciplinary teams in integrating regulatory requirements into EIA-RIMA and biodiversity plans

Requirements

• Higher education degree in Environmental Engineering, Law, or related fields
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental licensing and regulatory processes for industrial or mining projects in Brazil
• Strong knowledge of environmental and sectoral regulatory legislation
• Proven capacity for strategic planning, risk analysis, and deadline management
• Proficiency in Portuguese (verbal and written)
• Mastery of Excel, Word, and regulatory systems (e.g., SUAP, Licenças Web, Sistema Cal)
• Availability for frequent and prolonged travel to Piauí

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate degree in Environmental Management or Environmental Law
