Environmental Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental contractors for rehabilitation, waste management, and pest control
• Execute progressive rehabilitation to achieve site targets
• Monitor and implement erosion and sediment control
• Provide land disturbance advice and permitting
• Develop and implement Environmental Management plans for land, vegetation, water, and waste
• Support environmental reporting and assurance activities
• Increase environmental awareness among the general workforce

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in environmental science, engineering, or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience in environmental or civil engineering within the mining industry
• Supervisor qualifications (S1, 2, 3 & G2) or ability to obtain them
• Experience with Risk Management Processes and contractor management
• Experience implementing fauna management permits
• Proficiency in ArcGIS (Pro) or similar mapping software
• Ability to analyze and interpret environmental data

Preferred Qualifications

• Rehabilitation Permit holder
• Completed Venomous Snake Relocation Course
