About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct preliminary site investigations and detailed site assessments for contaminated land projects
  • Develop and implement remediation strategies and plans for various contaminated sites
  • Oversee and manage land remediation works, including subcontractor supervision and quality control
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, including investigation reports, remediation action plans, and validation reports
  • Perform risk assessments related to contaminated land and human health
  • Liaise effectively with clients, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders
  • Provide technical advice and support on environmental regulations and best practices
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards
  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client engagement

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or a related field
  • Proven experience in land remediation and the practical application of remediation technologies
  • Strong understanding of Australian environmental legislation and guidelines pertaining to contaminated land
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting site investigations, sampling, and data interpretation
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications such as GIS or groundwater modelling tools
  • Valid Australian driver's license
  • Professional membership with a relevant industry body (e.g., EIANZ, IAH) is highly regarded
