About the role

Responsibilities

Perform site visits, environmental rounds, and inspections at construction sites
Ensure and follow up on the correct implementation of environmental requirements and safeguards
Document and report environmental status continuously throughout the project
Identify and manage environmental risks, such as pollution or impact on the aquatic environment
Participate in receiving inspections of deliveries to ensure compliance with environmental requirements
Review and follow up on environmental measures at the construction site
Document and report deviations, improvement suggestions, and actions
Collaborate with contractors, designers, and clients to drive environmental issues forward
Contribute to creating a sustainable working environment and minimizing environmental impact from construction activities

Requirements

Relevant university degree in environment, technology, or civil engineering
At least 5 years of experience in environmental work, preferably focusing on contaminated areas or environmental control
Documented experience working in contracting projects, especially within infrastructure, construction, or development
Good understanding of environmental requirements in construction documents and the ability to follow them up during the contracting process
Experience acting as a client representative or project manager
Very good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written
Valid B-driver's license for field visits and follow-ups

Experience in infrastructure projects, construction contracts, development assignments, mass management, sediment, or water quality
Experience in risk assessment, main studies, mitigation investigations, or remediation
