Environmental Attorney

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, strategic legal advice to Business Line clients and Law Department colleagues on legal matters stewarded by the Company
• Conduct and coordinate research into legal issues impacting the Company
• Anticipate and take proactive steps to identify and mitigate legal exposure and risks
• Facilitate the implementation of proactive solutions to improve efficiency and drive business results
• Interface with external counsel on significant transactions, regulatory matters, and disputes
• Collaborate with Law Department colleagues across various departments and affiliates
• Develop and enhance legal expertise regarding relevant environmental and regulatory issues

Requirements

• Proven experience providing strategic legal advice
• Strong legal research and analytical skills
• Ability to identify and mitigate legal risks and exposure
• Effective negotiation skills
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a complex organizational structure
