Environmental Affairs Specialist

Responsibilities

• Assist in the management of the Port Arthur Incineration Facility Environmental program
• Develop and implement environmental policies, programs, and systems
• Provide environmental regulatory guidance to facility personnel
• Maintain records and submit reports to agencies such as TCEQ and EPA
• Review spills and releases to determine root causes and corrective actions
• Manage the Third-Party Audit program
• Assist facility personnel in using Dakota software (Auditor, Profiler, and Tracer)
• Provide training on environmental regulations and permit requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 2 years of experience in environmental regulatory or compliance field
• Knowledge of RCRA, TSCA, CWA, and CAA
• Experience with RCRA hazardous waste regulations preferred
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs
• Valid driver's license
