About the role
Responsibilities
- Support Environmental, Regulatory & Socioeconomic (ER&S) planning and execution for project concept selection and design
- Perform early-stage environmental aspect assessments (EAA) and lead environmental, social & health impact assessment studies (ESHIA)
- Develop regulatory permitting roadmaps, environmental management plans, and monitoring plans
- Support the development of socio-economic development plans, community engagement plans, and grievance management plans
- Build and maintain relationships with project teams to proactively address ER&S needs
- Develop and upgrade project ER&S systems, tools, and processes
- Support contractor management, including contract language development and monitoring
- Provide technical support, coaching, and mentoring during project planning and execution
- Perform environmental and socioeconomic relative risk screenings for projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science (preferred in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or Social Sciences)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical sector
- Proven experience in Environment Management
- Willingness to travel for business trips and periodically relocate to project locations
- High degree of ethical conduct
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong business perspective
- Ability to be adaptable to changing priorities
