Environment Regulatory and Socioeconomic Advisor

Responsibilities

• Support Environmental, Regulatory & Socioeconomic (ER&S) planning and execution for project concept selection and design
• Perform early-stage environmental aspect assessments (EAA) and lead environmental & social impact assessment studies (ESHIA)
• Develop regulatory permitting roadmaps, environmental management plans, and monitoring plans
• Create socio-economic development plans, community engagement plans, and grievance management plans
• Build and maintain relationships with project teams to proactively address ER&S needs
• Develop and upgrade project ER&S systems, tools, and processes
• Support contractor management, including contract language development and monitoring
• Provide technical support, coaching, and mentoring during project planning and execution
• Perform environmental and socioeconomic relative risk screenings for projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science (preferred in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or Social Sciences)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the oil & gas or petrochemical sector
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Environment Management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Willingness to travel for business trips and periodically relocate to project locations
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong business perspective
• Ability to maintain a high degree of ethical conduct and adapt to changing priorities
