Environment, Health & Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Lead the management and continuous improvement of Machinery, Process, and Electrical Safety programmes.
• Represent the site at regional and global forums to ensure compliance with Haleon EHS standards.
• Manage and coordinate the site Risk Management System, involving leadership and subject matter experts.
• Conduct gap analyses against local and corporate standards and develop mitigation plans.
• Perform regular inspections, audits, and site walkthroughs to monitor EHS performance.
• Support the investigation of incidents and unsafe conditions to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Contribute to Emergency Response, Spill Response, and Business Continuity planning.
• Promote a proactive EHS culture through employee engagement and awareness campaigns.

Requirements

• Degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
• NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of Machinery Safety principles.
• Solid understanding of Process Safety and Electrical Safety.
• Demonstrable experience managing health and safety programmes within a regulated environment.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or R&D laboratory setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to Duty Holder governance frameworks.
• Additional EHS-related qualifications or professional certifications.
