About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve critical EHS programs including machine safety, LOTO, chemical safety, industrial hygiene, fire safety, and PPE.
  • Drive EHS engagement on the production floor by attending shift meetings and addressing associate safety concerns in real-time.
  • Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with management to identify risks, conduct root cause analyses, and develop preventative measures.
  • Maintain compliance with local, state, federal, and corporate EHS regulations through regular inspections and audits.
  • Deliver safety training curriculum to employees and ensure all training assignments are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Manage site ergonomics programs and coordinate assessments with the Occupational Health Nurse.
  • Track and report monthly EHS metrics, including incident data, leadership metrics, and site headcount.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field with 2+ years of EHS experience; OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of EHS experience.
  • Strong knowledge of EPA, OSHA, and NFPA regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in Sandy, UT.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related field.
  • Experience in a large, highly automated manufacturing environment.
  • Professional EHS certification (e.g., ASP, OHST, GSP, TSP).
