Environment, Health and Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and municipal regulations
• Develop a global vision for safety and environment, prioritizing actions based on criticality
• Analyze data and convert findings into actionable plans
• Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and training programs
• Participate in hazard assessments for various site operations
• Complete environmental monitoring reports for Quebec provincial, municipal, and corporate requirements
• Manage reporting, follow-ups, and corrective actions for health and safety incidents and accidents
• Communicate with various departments, suppliers, and the Abbott corporate team

Requirements

• College diploma in a related field
• 3+ years of experience in safety or environmental roles
• Strong understanding of industrial environments and associated risks
• Knowledge of environmental and EHS standards
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• English proficiency (required for approximately 40% of the role to interact with global stakeholders)
