About the Company
Osmo is a digital olfaction company on a mission to give computers a sense of smell to improve the health and wellbeing of human life. Osmo is headquartered in Elizabeth, NJ, with an additional office in Somerville, MA.
Responsibilities
- Own and drive the end-to-end EHS program strategy, regulatory positioning, and audit posture
- Develop EHS program strategy, assess risks, and build multi-year compliance roadmaps
- Set company-wide EHS standards and drive adoption across R&D, manufacturing, and facilities
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, RCRA, and state regulatory requirements
- Lead safety risk assessments and advise engineering and R&D leaders on hazard mitigation
- Develop incident reporting, investigation, and corrective-action processes
- Author SOPs, JHAs, and chemical hygiene plans
- Design and deliver EHS training for onboarding and ongoing operations
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulators, auditors, and emergency responders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in EHS, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science
- 10–15+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, chemical, pharma, or industrial-research environments
- Proven track record of designing and running an EHS program end-to-end
- Hands-on expertise in chemical handling, OSHA, RCRA, and lab safety
- Ability to set standards and drive adoption across scientific organizations without direct reports
Preferred Qualifications
- CSP (Certified Safety Professional) certification
