Environment and Sustainability Specialist

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing sustainability policies and procedures
• Conduct environmental assessments and sustainability audits to ensure compliance
• Coordinate and deliver environmental audits and environmental and social impact assessments
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate sustainability into project planning
• Monitor, analyze, and report on environmental performance metrics
• Provide training and guidance to staff on sustainability practices
• Engage with stakeholders to promote sustainability initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management or sustainability
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability frameworks
• Practical experience with international lender standards such as Equator Principles and IFC Performance Standards
• Experience in specification, preparation, and coordination of fee proposals for environmental work
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and sustainability reporting tools
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional membership or certification with recognized organizations (e.g., IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM, IES, PMP)
