Entry Mobile Repair Technician

Responsibilities

• Conduct railcar inspections to ensure compliance with safety and industry standards
• Perform necessary repairs under the direct supervision of a Career Mobile Technician
• Maintain accurate invoicing, inspection, and work order documentation
• Participate in safety assessments, equipment inspections, and safety initiatives
• Transload various materials between rail and trucks
• Follow all established safety rules, practices, and repair procedures

Requirements

• Ability to learn major railcar components and their basic functions
• Proficiency with hand tools including hammers, torches, wrenches, and pneumatic tools
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
• Ability to work in confined spaces and at elevated heights
• Willingness to undergo specialized training and certifications as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience with welding, valves, or mechanical repairs
• Prior knowledge of railcar components and maintenance
