Entry Level Miner

Responsibilities

• Ensure high accuracy and engagement on hazard identification and control
• Assist with MSHA regulatory task training and compliance verification
• Perform quality pre-operation machine inspections
• Document 5000-23 and training checklist requirements
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping for machines and work areas
• Support proactive near miss reporting and risk assessment processes
• Train to proficiency on equipment such as water trucks, haulage trucks, or fuel/lube trucks

Requirements

• 0-1 years of experience in mining or heavy industry preferred
• Ability to adhere to OSHA and MSHA regulatory requirements
• Valid and insurable driving license
• Ability to lift up to 85 pounds and push/pull at least 55 pounds
• Physical ability to kneel, crouch, squat, climb stairs, and climb ladders repeatedly
• Flexibility to work various shift schedules including days and nights
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
