Entry Level MCE Technician

Responsibilities

• Support lifting operations of equipment at heights over 250’
• Conduct safe and efficient repairs to all Wind Turbine electrical systems
• Operate under properly performed Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) conditions
• Conduct pre-task planning, Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), and Risk Assessments (RAs)
• Perform up-tower repairs and diagnostics on medium and major components
• Document all work in electronic formats and provide feedback to Safety and Quality departments

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of direct product experience on one or more platforms
• Direct turbine specific experience is required
• Main Component Exchange (MCE) experience with knowledge in lifting operations
• Ability to read and interpret schematics by various Wind Turbine manufacturers
• Detailed knowledge of generators, converters, controllers, and electrical equipment
• Ability to climb a wind turbine vertically at least 300 feet
• Ability to lift and move equipment over 50 pounds
• Ability to maintain weight between 120 and 280 pounds for OSHA compliance
