Entra ID Authentication Administrator

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support Microsoft Entra ID authentication services
• Configure, maintain, and support SAML and OAuth based authentication for enterprise applications
• Perform root cause analysis of reported problems in collaboration with application and engineering teams
• Use scripting and automation to develop solutions and reduce operational overhead
• Support critical systems as part of a regular 24/7 on-call rotation
• Recommend and implement service improvements using change control methodology

Requirements

• Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance (requires U.S. citizenship)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Broad experience operating and supporting Entra ID in an enterprise setting
• Experience administering application authentication integration using SAML and OAuth/OIDC
• Proficiency in managing users, groups, applications, and hybrid identity (Entra Connect)
• Experience with Conditional Access, MFA, PIM, and/or Certificate-Based Authentication (CBA)
• Ability to work off-hours and participate in an on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with PowerShell or similar automation platforms
• Experience with monitoring platforms such as SCOM, Splunk, or Nagios
• Experience administering Windows server environments (deployment, patching, monitoring)
• Experience with cloud platforms and implementing NIST 800-63 levels of assurance
