Entertainment Technical Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the operations team for show installation and the operation of complex technical entertainment systems for permanent and seasonal offerings.
• Coach and develop technical managers, supervisors, and technicians.
• Ensure safety compliance by inspecting show rigging equipment and partnering with vendors for regular mechanical inspections.
• Manage show venue operations expenses, including equipment maintenance, spare parts, and show scene rehabilitation.
• Conduct regular show audits to ensure technical elements and AVL cues meet original creative intent and safety standards.
• Oversee technical show operations across theaters, parades, live atmosphere shows, fireworks, and pyrotechnics.
• Partner with internal teams, vendors, and Disney Live Entertainment/WDI partners for project coordination.
• Collaborate with Show Operations, Costuming, Facilities, and Park Operations to ensure seamless daily operations.

Requirements

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Technical Theatre, Entertainment Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in live entertainment technical operations.
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or Sketchup drawing software.
• Strong knowledge of networks, video streaming, video walls, audio, lighting, rigging, and show control systems.
• Strong communication skills in English; Cantonese or Mandarin is an advantage.
