Entertainment Rigger & Stage Hand Technician

Responsibilities

• Move and spot stage scenic elements during Broadway/West End style musical theater productions
• Perform performer harness checks and flying hook-ups during musical theater productions and shipwide entertainment events
• Partner with Automation Operator to maintain shipwide automation and rigging systems
• Train in all outdoor rigging positions to safely operate during shows
• Contribute to the Walt Disney Theatre Team regarding load in/outs, cast changeovers, new show installations, and equipment tests

Requirements

• Minimum three years of show production experience in a similar role
• Experience or qualifications in theatrical or entertainment-based rigging operations
• Knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, electric motors, motor drives, and controls
• Experience with manual and automated rigging devices
• Experience operating computerized automation control equipment
• Ability to work at heights and with heavy equipment
• Ability to work in environments with haze, fog, dry ice, and other special effects
• Valid passport and ability to obtain a C1/D Seaman's visa
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and criminal background check
