Responsibilities

• Own the merchant solutions strategy, defining repeatable and bespoke solution propositions
• Translate merchant needs into clear commercial and technical solutions
• Partner with Product and Engineering to move solutions from design to delivery
• Build and manage bank, infrastructure, and partner relationships
• Drive revenue growth and retention across new and existing enterprise merchants
• Establish and lead the solutions function, including team development and playbooks

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a commercial, technical, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in payments, fintech, or enterprise technology
• Proven track record of designing and selling solutions to complex merchants
• Experience managing bank, platform, or partner relationships
• Commercial and technical fluency to structure deals and collaborate with engineering
• Experience leading or building teams
• Strong executive presence and stakeholder influence skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Post-graduate qualification
• Knowledge of the South African payments landscape
