About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the subject matter authority on the full Verkada suite of products and offerings
- Partner with territory account executives to expand the Verkada footprint into Fortune 500 companies
- Interface with customers and partners throughout the sales process to overcome technical objections
- Assist customers in designing deployments with Verkada products
- Present solutions to all levels of customers, from C-level executives to IT directors
- Travel frequently (estimated 50%+) for customer engagements and team collaboration
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer
- Proven track record working with Fortune 500 companies
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical or security field
- Strong background in Networking (HTTPS, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, NAT, DHCP, and Firewalls)
- Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and travel extensively
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry certifications such as AWS, CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, CEH, Security+, or CISSP
- Experience with Active Directory, SAML/SCIM, APIs, or Python
- Startup experience
