About the role
Responsibilities
- Prospect into State, Local, and Education (SLED) organizations while running an efficient sales process
- Maintain and build relationship maps for your territory, including existing and aspirational contacts
- Develop a deep comprehension of customer business needs to convey product value and ROI
- Negotiate favorable pricing and business terms with SLED enterprises
- Manage existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth within assigned territories
- Ensure high forecasting accuracy and consistency
Requirements
- 3+ years of closing experience, including a mix of field selling within mid-market or enterprise segments
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding direct sales goals of $800k+
- Experience operating with an average deal size of $50k+
- Experience selling into state, local, and education organizations with the ability to win new logos
- Ability to travel regularly to client sites as required by business needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working for an innovative technology company (SaaS or IT infrastructure preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to use sales methodologies to prospect and build pipeline independently
