About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and support enterprise planning solutions for budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and cost modeling
- Develop and maintain planning artifacts including models, cubes, modules, hierarchies, and validation logic
- Act as a technical lead for planning system initiatives, defining solution design standards and best practices
- Partner with Finance, FP&A, and IT teams to ensure data quality, reconciliation, and integration reliability
- Support planning cycles, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), releases, and troubleshooting of performance or data issues
- Maintain technical documentation, solution designs, and operational runbooks
Requirements
- 6–10+ years of experience delivering enterprise financial planning or performance management solutions
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), Anaplan, OneStream, or Oracle EPM
- Strong understanding of FP&A and enterprise planning processes
- Experience building complex planning models and business logic
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- Ability to work full-time onsite in San Diego, CA (5 days per week)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading or supporting planning system modernization or replacement programs
- Exposure to multiple planning platforms (e.g., migrating from TM1 to OneStream or Hyperion to Anaplan)
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments
- Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, cloud ecosystems, or analytics tools
- Knowledge of governance, audit, and control requirements for financial systems
