About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and support enterprise planning solutions for budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and cost modeling
  • Develop and maintain planning artifacts including models, cubes, modules, hierarchies, and validation logic
  • Act as a technical lead for planning system initiatives, defining solution design standards and best practices
  • Partner with Finance, FP&A, and IT teams to ensure data quality, reconciliation, and integration reliability
  • Support planning cycles, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), releases, and troubleshooting of performance or data issues
  • Maintain technical documentation, solution designs, and operational runbooks

Requirements

  • 6–10+ years of experience delivering enterprise financial planning or performance management solutions
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of the following: IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), Anaplan, OneStream, or Oracle EPM
  • Strong understanding of FP&A and enterprise planning processes
  • Experience building complex planning models and business logic
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Ability to work full-time onsite in San Diego, CA (5 days per week)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading or supporting planning system modernization or replacement programs
  • Exposure to multiple planning platforms (e.g., migrating from TM1 to OneStream or Hyperion to Anaplan)
  • Experience working in Agile or Scrum delivery environments
  • Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, cloud ecosystems, or analytics tools
  • Knowledge of governance, audit, and control requirements for financial systems
