Enterprise Internal Audit Services Senior Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage employees performing internal audit and assurance activities for Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Develop and implement audit plans, policies, and long-term strategies aligned with enterprise risk priorities.
• Formulate technical approaches for complex audit engagements and advisory activities.
• Evaluate internal controls, governance processes, and compliance practices for effectiveness.
• Identify risks, control gaps, and process inefficiencies to provide actionable recommendations.
• Communicate audit results, themes, and recommendations to senior leaders and business partners.
• Support remediation tracking and validate the completion of corrective actions.
• Cultivate strong partnerships with stakeholders, peers, and direct reports to promote a culture of compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a business or technical field.
• Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS).
• Experience performing internal and/or external audits.
• 3+ years of experience in a senior leadership or management role.
• 5+ years of professional experience in verbal and written communication with leaders and colleagues.
• Experience managing and leading teams and influencing within matrixed organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing relationships with senior executives and stakeholders.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, CISA, or CFE.
• Experience managing employees or first-level managers.
• Experience in a large, complex, global, or highly regulated environment.
• Experience with enterprise risk management, operational auditing, SOX, or technology auditing.
• Experience with data analytics, audit automation, or audit management tools.
