About the role
Responsibilities
- Build a book of business by closing net-new customers and cross-selling/upselling existing clients
- Uncover ideal clients through self-prospecting and collaboration with the SDR team
- Consult with clients to understand supply chain needs and create value-add solutions
- Lead Monthly and Quarterly Business Meetings to help clients plan for upcoming business
- Navigate and sell Flexport's suite of products across the entire shipment lifecycle
- Partner with internal teams including Operations, Ocean, Air, Trucking, and Customs to ensure a best-in-class customer experience
- Lead the customer onboarding process by leveraging internal resources
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain industries
- 2+ years of experience in a full-cycle, quota-carrying sales role
- Demonstrated ability to run a structured sales process
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Proven success in building and maintaining long-term commercial relationships
- A curious and inquisitive approach to client discovery
