About the role
Responsibilities
- Verify and enroll participant referrals via walk-in, electronic, or telephonic methods
- Review and authenticate consumer documents for completeness and official status
- Navigate the enrollment database to enter demographic and relevant consumer information
- Scan authenticated official documents into the database
- Finalize and submit complete Fair Fare application packages
- Notify consumers of missing documentation and provide guidance on obtaining official documents
- Coordinate communication and present information to community audiences via public speaking and informational materials
Requirements
- High school graduation or equivalent
- Three years of experience in community work or community-centered activities
- Ability to handle highly sensitive documents with confidentiality and discretion
About the Company
The Fair Fares program is a Mayoral initiative designed to provide accessible discounts for NYCT subways and eligible local bus service to low-income families and New York City residents living at or below the federal poverty line.
