About the role
Responsibilities
- Deliver push-in and pull-out ENL instruction across grade bands
- Work with multiple campuses in Harlem and/or the Bronx following a rotation schedule
- Plan and co-plan with general education teachers to implement research-based curriculum
- Monitor, track, and update English Language Proficiency goals (ELPs) for assigned caseload
- Create and sustain a disciplined school culture of high academic and behavioral standards
- Administer NYSITELL/NYSESLAT/WIDA assessments in accordance with NYS protocols
- Use assessment data to refine curricula and instructional practice
- Participate in weekly coaching sessions and professional development
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Commitment to college success and authentic civic engagement
- Ability to use data analysis to drive instructional decisions
- Commitment to antiracism and diversity, equity, and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of urban teaching experience
- State certification
- Bilingual in Spanish or French
