About the Company

Midtre Gauldal kommune is establishing a joint service for payroll and accounting in collaboration with Melhus and Skaun municipalities. This new unit will operate as a dedicated entity to provide high-quality services to all three municipalities, strengthening competence and sustainability through cooperation.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the unit and its approximately 17 employees
• Build strong professional environments within payroll and accounting
• Ensure quality in deliveries and compliance with regulations
• Drive standardization and improvement of work processes
• Monitor finances, goals, and results
• Facilitate collaboration with leaders and users across the participating municipalities
• Perform practical tasks within payroll and accounting

Requirements

• Higher education in finance, accounting, or other relevant fields
• Solid written and oral communication skills
• Strong digital skills
• Leadership experience, preferably from the public sector
• Experience working with accounting, payroll, or financial management
• Experience with Visma Enterprise Plus is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven ability to build trust and create common direction in a new organization
• Experience in organizational development and professional leadership
