English Teacher

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored, dynamic, and engaging in-person English lessons to an intermediate learner.
• Develop customized curricula focusing on everyday communication, vocabulary, pronunciation, and local accents.
• Teach practical conversational skills, including common phrases, slang, and telephone etiquette.
• Monitor student progress and guide the learner toward specific language goals.
• Communicate professionally with the client regarding lesson outcomes and progress.

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in written and spoken English.
• A degree or certification in language teaching, education, linguistics, or a related field.
• Minimum of two years of ESL teaching experience.
• Ability to provide in-person lessons at the student's home in Columbia, SC.
• Availability for one hour per week, Monday through Friday, between 10 am and 2 pm.
