English Professor

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses including English Composition I and II, Literature, and related communication classes
• Mentor and advise students in the Secondary English Education program
• Serve on academic committees and participate in required faculty events
• Disciple students and assist in recruiting mission-fit students to the college
• Comply with all academic performance expectations and policies outlined in the Faculty Handbook

Requirements

• Accredited Master’s Degree in a related field
• Proven experience teaching grammar, composition, communication, and literature
• Strong alignment with fundamental Baptist beliefs and the college's foundational documents
• Adherence to biblical standards of morality and living
• Applicants and/or their spouses must not be or ever have been divorced
• Excellent communication, organizational, and instructional skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching Speech or Drama
• Experience teaching Geography
• Experience teaching Grade 5-12 Language Arts
• Experience teaching English Education methods courses
