English Language Teacher

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored, dynamic, and engaging in-person English lessons to a mother and two children (ages 9 and 13)
• Develop customized curricula based on varying proficiency levels, ranging from beginner to advanced
• Monitor student progress and guide learners toward specific goals, such as cultural integration and academic success
• Provide structured lessons that include heavy emphasis on conversation practice
• Communicate with clients in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Requirements

• Native or near-native written and spoken English proficiency
• Degree or certificate in language teaching, education, linguistics, or a related field
• Minimum of two years of teaching experience
• Ability to provide in-person lessons in Cedar Falls, Iowa, starting around 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience teaching children
• Experience working with diverse learners and different proficiency levels simultaneously
