English (ESL) Language Teacher

Responsibilities

• Deliver tailored, dynamic, and engaging in-person English lessons to two eleven-year-old siblings in Carmel, IN
• Develop customized curricula focused on vocabulary, common phrases, and social language to help students integrate into their new environment
• Focus on school-related vocabulary and building conversational confidence for complete beginners
• Monitor student progress and guide learners toward specific language goals
• Communicate professionally with the family regarding lesson outcomes

Requirements

• Native or near-native written and spoken English proficiency
• Degree or certification in language teaching, education, linguistics, or a related field
• Minimum of two years of ESL teaching experience
• Proven experience teaching children is required
• Ability to travel to the student's home in Carmel, IN (46032) for in-person sessions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with students who speak Japanese or Chinese at home
• Experience teaching complete beginners in a one-on-one setting
