English as a New Language Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide small group instruction to entering and emerging English Language Learners
• Serve as push-in support for English Language Learners across grade and content areas
• Partner with general education teachers to advocate for classroom accommodations
• Use standards-based assessment data to refine and differentiate curriculum
• Collaborate with school leaders and families to analyze student work and language development
• Gather academic growth data and write goals to support English proficiency
• Build positive relationships with students and engage in professional development

Requirements

• TESOL certification
• Academic expertise in English as a New Language Instruction, Humanities, Social Sciences, STEM, or related fields
• Demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools
• Commitment to supporting students' social emotional and academic development

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in urban schools and communities
