About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide small group instruction to entering and emerging English Language Learners
- Serve as push-in support for English Language Learners across grade and content areas
- Partner with general education teachers to advocate for classroom accommodations
- Use standards-based assessment data to refine and differentiate curriculum
- Collaborate with school leaders and families to analyze student work and language development
- Gather academic growth data and write goals to support English proficiency
- Build positive relationships with students and engage in professional development
Requirements
- TESOL certification
- Academic expertise in English as a New Language Instruction, Humanities, Social Sciences, STEM, or related fields
- Demonstrated interest in impacting K-12 students in urban schools
- Commitment to supporting students' social emotional and academic development
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of experience in urban schools and communities
