Engines Test Lead

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain engine test requirements
• Develop and maintain engine test plans, sequences, and schedules
• Own engine as-tested configuration from factory to flight
• Own test verification activities to ensure requirements are met
• Plan, prioritize, and execute component and full engine test campaigns
• Drive test data reviews, perform data analysis, and lead anomaly investigations
• Develop configuration tracking, test planning, and data reduction tools
• Design, build, and troubleshoot fluid, mechanical, instrumentation, and control systems

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in designing, building, and testing rocket engines, combustion devices, pumps, or valves
• Strong command of compressible flow, thermodynamics, control systems, cryogenics, and instrumentation
• Proficiency with pneumatic, hydraulic, and cryogenic fluid systems
• Proficiency with aerospace standard fasteners, seals, tubing, and fittings
• Proficiency with instrumentation including pressure transducers, thermocouples, and flow meters
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or similar
• Ability to work onsite in Moses Lake, Washington

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals
• Proficiency with fluid analysis tools such as Siemens AMESim, Thermal Desktop, Python, EES, REFPROP, or Excel
• Hands-on experience with fabrication and assembly of propulsion systems components
