About the role
Responsibilities
- Own the forecast and BvA for engineering R&D, manufacturing capex, production cost, and BOM
- Build unit-cost models for hardware generations including learning-curve assumptions and scale effects
- Partner with engineering and manufacturing leadership on cost-down roadmaps and NPI programs
- Manage the capex pipeline and ROI framework for production capacity
- Translate technical engineering and supply chain data into actionable financial insights
- Use AI tooling to automate cost models from ERP and BOM data
Requirements
- 3-7 years in finance or operations at a hardware, manufacturing, or industrial business
- Proven track record building production cost and BOM models
- Strong cost-accounting and BOM fluency
- Proficiency in Excel and SQL
- Experience with ERP systems like NetSuite and BI tools
- Ability to work in-person in a fast-paced startup environment
