Engineering Vehicle Test Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead Talon-A air-launched, hypersonic vehicle testing by defining and implementing vehicle integration and test activities
• Collaborate with systems engineering, test teams, and program leadership to maintain an up-to-date test objective database
• Participate in test planning, Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), test execution, vehicle troubleshooting, and post-test data reviews
• Architect and optimize data review methodologies and analysis tools
• Set standards for test planning and documentation to ensure vehicle requirements are met
• Manage connections and dependencies between various vehicle subsystems

Requirements

• Experience in vehicle integration testing, ground testing, and/or flight testing
• Familiarity with avionics, instrumentation, software, fluid systems, liquid rockets, or structures
• Experience working in small, dynamic engineering teams
• Proficiency with MS Office, CAD (Solidworks preferred), and configuration management systems like Jira
• Ability to acquire and maintain a security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree with 5-10 years of experience (Senior level) or 10-20 years of experience (Staff level)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a Test Conductor
• Experience with air-launched hypersonic vehicle development or hot-structure airframes
• Experience contributing to major technical reviews (SRR, PDR, or CDR)
• Experience with technical risk identification, management, and mitigation
• Programming experience in Matlab or Python
• Current DOD Secret security clearance
