Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Support aerospace manufacturing and engine test operations through instrumentation selection, calibration, and troubleshooting
• Develop, improve, and review calibration processes and technical standards
• Use CAD-based software to design fixtures and electrical schematics
• Evaluate measurement requirements and select appropriate instrumentation based on accuracy and application needs
• Provide hands-on troubleshooting and support for jet engine test cells used for commercial and military validation
• Perform root cause analysis pertaining to calibration issues
• Research and implement new instrumentation and measurement technologies
• Write and revise Company Instructions (CIs) and Common Operating Procedures (COPs)

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or testing environment
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving issues related to instrumentation (wiring, noise, grounding, scaling, etc.)
• Experience with electronics troubleshooting and repair
• Experience with instrumentation used to measure pressure, voltage, current, force, torque, flow, temperature, vibration, or frequency
• U.S. citizenship is required
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
• Experience with automation tools such as Python
• Experience using VBA for macro-based calibration forms
