Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Assist FA engineers in failure analysis investigations for in-line failures, reliability test failures, and customer/field returns
• Perform basic electrical and physical failure analysis following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Prepare samples for analysis, including labeling, marking, and disk orientation/location
• Track and manage samples throughout the failure analysis workflow
• Operate and maintain FA laboratory equipment, such as optical microscopes, AFM, Zygo, and OSA
• Capture and organize optical images, measurement data, test results, and observations
• Maintain accurate and detailed FA records in databases or logbooks
• Support FA engineers in the preparation of technical reports

Requirements

• Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science
• 0–3 years of experience in a failure analysis, test, quality, or reliability laboratory
• Hands-on skills with optical microscopes and laboratory equipment
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work nights and weekends as required

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant certifications, such as Certified Maintenance Technician
• Experience with AFM, Zygo, or OSA equipment
