About the role

Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and maintain vehicles and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setups with high-performance compute and sensor systems
  • Diagnose, repair, and rework hardware system failures on compute systems, embedded modules, wiring harnesses, sensors, and other hardware components
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to execute one-off tests of hardware configurations and assist in troubleshooting issues
  • Maintain and manage workshop equipment, tools, and inventory
  • Support prototype assembly and modifications to improve engineering designs
  • Document workshop procedures, test results, and system configurations
  • Support initial bring-up and commissioning of vehicles and contribute to system integration improvements
  • Utilize emerging technologies like 3D printing, Jira, and AI tools to solve workshop challenges

Requirements

  • Experience building wiring harnesses and reading wiring diagrams
  • Experience building complex systems in a fast-paced production environment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Ability to work collaboratively with engineering teams
  • Tenacity and a hands-on approach to problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with autonomous vehicle hardware (LiDAR, radar, cameras, compute platforms)
  • Experience flashing and commissioning systems
  • Experience with change management and version control systems
