Engineering Technician - Soldering Specialist

Responsibilities

• Perform printed circuit board SMD rework to support new product development
• Create custom wiring harnesses and electro-mechanical prototype assemblies
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams for validation and testing
• Conduct lab and field testing of electronic equipment and systems

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years of experience in PCB hand soldering with lead-free solder
• Experience with rework down to 0201 passives and 0.4mm pitch BGAs
• Proficiency with soldering stations, heat guns, and preheaters
• Ability to read electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and BOMs
• Experience working under a microscope
• Proficiency with DMMs, oscilloscopes, and power supplies
• IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 certification
• Must be a U.S. Person (Citizen or Permanent Resident)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of thermal interface materials, gaskets, and conformal coating
• Experience conducting IP rating testing
• Experience with thermal testing in temperature chambers
• Basic Radio Frequency (RF) knowledge
