Engineering Technician Senior Professional

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for rotating equipment and piping, providing guidance on design basis, standards, and mechanical integrity.
• Develop engineering designs, cost estimates, and scope specifications for static-mechanical equipment including pressure vessels, tanks, and heat exchangers.
• Support all project phases from FEL/FEED through execution, construction, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with NOM, local regulations, and international standards such as ASME, ANSI, API, and ISO.
• Coordinate with procurement to prepare technical specifications, perform bid evaluations, and inspect materials/equipment prior to installation.
• Provide on-site technical support during construction and commissioning to resolve field deviations and engineering issues.
• Support long-term asset integrity and reliability strategies for rotating equipment.

Requirements

• Advanced mechanical engineering expertise, specifically regarding rotating equipment and piping.
• Proven experience managing or supporting CAPEX projects within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong familiarity with industry standards including ASME, ANSI, API, and ISO.
• Demonstrated ability to support brownfield integration and work within active operating units.
• Ability to perform independent research and problem-solving using engineering codes and technical references.
