Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform installation and upgrades of communications and automation systems at FAA facilities across the United States
• Work as part of a construction and installation crew to establish new or upgrade existing equipment
• Execute electrical systems installation, civil construction tasks, and electrical equipment installation tasks
• Complete projects at airports and remote facilities in various environments
• Read, interpret, and implement project drawings, specifications, and client orders

Requirements

• US Citizenship is required
• 100% travel throughout the United States, its territories, and possessions
• Ability to pass a government background check
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and a fleet driver motor vehicle history check
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in electrical installations
• Experience with above and below ground electrical installations, duct banks, manholes, steel racks, towers, and poles
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting project drawings and specifications
• Familiarity with construction quality and safety best practices

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 30 training
• Valid Electrician license
• Experience using electrical and electronics test equipment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for daily and weekly reporting
• Strong customer service skills and experience working directly with site owners
