Engineering Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical prototype assembly tasks on high-performance autonomous off-road ground vehicles
• Test and troubleshoot electromechanical systems
• Work in a small team to improve designs, fabricate components and modify existing parts
• Assume responsibility for safe and efficient operation of machinery and shop equipment
• Support safety, quality and process improvements

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in assembly and repair of mechanical and electrical systems
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
• Technical certification or associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with metal and woodworking tools, machine shop tools, and welding
• Proficiency with electrical wiring, soldering and cable/harness assembly
• Experience with off-road vehicle operations, maintenance, and modifications
• Ability to lift more than 40 lbs
