Engineering Technician (NDT)

Responsibilities

• Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) assignments of a routine nature following established procedures
• Assist higher-level NDT Technicians with standard inspections on component parts and assemblies
• Set up and calibrate testing equipment under the direct observation of senior technicians
• Prepare components for inspection utilizing available equipment and processes
• Interpret, evaluate, and report test results for specific products and materials
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to acquire and maintain a security clearance
• Knowledge of non-destructive testing methods
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, ordinances, and regulations
• Familiarity with specific techniques, tools, and equipment used in the inspection process
• Proficiency in basic arithmetic, algebra, and physics principles to solve technical problems
• Experience with automated and manual inspection methods
